Statement of Faculty Senate Action:
APC Document 45: Changes to Environmental Studies Departmental mathematics requirements
Effective Date: Fall Semester, 2000.Delete: Page 106 under required courses outside the major, delete: Two courses selected from MATH 163, 164, 167, 191, 192, STAT 185.
Add Page 106 under required courses outside the major, add: Two courses selected from MATH 163 or 167, 191, 192, STAT 185.
Impact Statement: May slightly reduce enrollment in MATH 164 and slightly increase enrollment in STAT 185.
Rationale: MATH 164 has been reduced to a 2-hour course and the Math Department has strongly advised against it being used towards fulfilling our Math requirement. Students are not allowed to receive credit for both MATH 163 and 167.
