APC Document #31:  Replacing "Program" and "Track" Titles according to CIP guidelines


Follow the instructions in the table below by deleting, on the appropriate page (listed in the first column), the old title (listed in the middle column), and replacing it with the title listed in the third column. These changes apply only to the bolded headings on each page. Other editorial changes in wording in concentration or emphasis descriptions are to be made as needed to ensure conformity with the new titles.

Impact: The changes have no affect on degree offerings or staffing needs.

Rationale: The changes are mandated by the University of North Carolina's changing its degree identification codes from the old HEGIS system to the more widely used Classification of Instructional Program (CIP). These changes bring UNCA's catalog in line with the new system.
