THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT ASHEVILLE FACULTY SENATE Senate Document Number 3991S Date of Senate Approval 3/28/91 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Statement of Faculty Senate Action: FWDC #91S4: Faculty Assembly Election The FWDC proposed the following ballot for the Faculty Assembly election: Faculty Assembly election The Faculty Assembly meets four times a year in Chapel Hill to consider matters of general concern to the university system. UNCA has two delegates and two alternates who serve in the absence of the delegates. Current delegates are Shirley Browning, whose term continues, and John Stevens whose three year term is expiring. Two memos circulated to the entire faculty in March produced the name of one person who was interested in having his name put up for election: John Stevens, who wishes to serve another term. Please record your vote below: FACULTY ASSEMBLY DELEGATE (Vote for one) John Stevens (write in candidate) ***************************************************************** The alternate delegate is usually the runner-up in the election. Because the ballot above will probably not secure numerous votes for any one individual, the vote for the alternate is separate and is below. There was no opportunity for anyone to express interest in being an alternate; however, this year's alternate, Henry Stern, has agreed to continue in that capacity if elected. ALTERNATE DELEGATE TO THE FACULTY ASSEMBLY (Vote for one) Henry Stern (write-in) (Please make sure that any write-in candidate you provide is willing to serve if elected.)
