        Statement of Faculty Senate Action: 



                              IDC #3:  Enrollment Services





             The UPC met with Dr. Carolina Miller, Director of Enrollment

        Services, and with representatives of the Enrollment Services Advisory

        Committee and the Advising Committee.  As a result of this and other

        meetings we make the following recommendations:  





        1.  That the Quality Growth Targets be revised as stated on the

        following page.  We commend the Admissions Office and all faculty,

        administration and staff who so effectively met the prior growth targets

        that they made them obsolete.  The revised targets reflect UNCA's

        ongoing commitment to its mission.  



        2.  That the Advising Committee and the Enrollment Services Advisory

        Committee be merged to best coordinate the efforts at serving the

        students.
