SENATE DOCUMENT #3 APC Document #2 The Academic Policies Committee recommends to the Faculty Senate the adoption of the following: CATALOG REVISION: Delete: The section entitled: "A Second Baccalaureate Degree" on p. 64. Add: Replace the section with the following: "A Second Baccaulaureate Degree A student with a bachelor's degree may receive a second baccalaureate if it is in a different major or a different program. The student must fulfill the following conditions: 1. Meet the all-University requirements for the second degree, either through transfer credit or through work taken at UNC-A. Courses from another institution must meet the conditions for transfer credit listed on page 33. 2. The student must complete a minimum of 30 hours in residence beyond the requirements for the first degree. At least two-thirds of the courses required in the major department must be taken in residence. Requirements for correlate courses may be met by transfer of credit for other institutions." Delete: Last paragraph on p. 33. In its place add: "Transfer students must take the last 30 semester hours of course work and at least one-half of the requirements for the major in residence at the University."
