Statement
of Faculty Senate Action:
APC Document 3: Change
Scheduled Offering of ECON 245, 314, 330, and 361
Effective Date: Fall 2007
1. Delete: On pg 107, at end of course
description for ECON 314, delete:
Even years Spring.
Add: On pg 107, in place of deleted entry:
Odd years Fall.
Impact: Minimal; the frequency of
offering remains once every two years.
Rationale: With the addition of ECON
355, this offering pattern makes more sense for the department; there will now
be an advanced course in international economics offered in three out of every
four semesters, without overlap.
2. Delete: On pg 106, at end of course description for ECON 245, delete:
Spring.
Add:
On pg 106, in place of deleted entry:
Fall.
3. Delete: On pg 107, at end of course description for ECON 330, delete:
Even years Fall.
Add:
On pg 107, in place of deleted entry:
Even years Spring.
4. Delete: On pg 108, at end of course description for ECON 361, delete:
See department chair.
Add:
On pg 106, in place of deleted entry:
Odd years Spring.
Impact: Minimal.
The printed frequency of offering of ECON 245 and 330 is unchanged, and
ECON 361 has been offered every 2-3 years for the last decade.
Rationale: This offering pattern better fits the course
rotation of the faculty members responsible for teaching these courses.
