– Under Proposal, Replace
Part (5) with the following:
Purpose
To select the annual recipients of UNCA’s various teaching awards.
Membership
* the seven most
recent recipients of Teaching Awards,
* the prior year's UNCA Distinguished Teacher, ex officio without vote.
The most recent recipient
of the UNCA Distinguished Teacher Award serves as committee chair.
Recommendations and
reports to:
Provost and Vice Chancellor
of Academic and Student Affairs
Rationale
Although this
Committee has been operating under this present structure for a number of
years, an associated Senate document approving it has never been passed. This
document will make this Committee an official Standing Committee of the
Faculty.
