Impact: None. This is current practice.
Rationale: As requested by APC and SACS, we add this statement to demonstrate the computer competency of students in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences (ATMS). Regularly ATMS majors utilize weather data acquired from the Internet, process and manipulate weather data interactively on computers, write weather forecasts for the public with word processor, and present weather briefing with PowerPoint Presentation software. The satisfactory completion of both senior comprehensive examination and CSCI 142 or 201 would demonstrate computer competency of graduating ATMS seniors.
