Statement of Faculty Senate Action:

APC Document 41: Add STAT 185 as an option for the Math requirement in MMAS

Effective Date: Fall 2011

1. Delete: On page 219, under Major in Multimedia Arts and Sciences, in item II:

MATH 167 or higher;

Add: On page 219, in place of deleted entry:

MATH 167 or STAT 185, or higher level MATH or STAT;

Impact:

There will be no impact on the resources and staffing of the MMAS or MATH departments due to this change.

Rationale:

This option has been informally in place for years. This will document the practice.
