Statement of Faculty Senate Action:

APC Document 13: Delete ENVR 354, Management of Hazardous,

Municipal and Solid Wastes

Effective Date: Fall 2010

1. Delete: On page 138, the entry for ENVR 354:

354 Management of Hazardous, Municipal and Solid Wastes (3)

Study of the biogeochemical system for the classification of wastes and appropriate

control technologies, regulatory policies and management strategies available for

their disposal. Prerequisite: ENVR 130. See department chair.

Impact: Minimal.

Rationale: The course has not been taught since 2007, and we have no plans to teach it in the near future, as it does not fit well with the current concentrations. We feel that it would be unfair to students for Waste Management to be listed if we do not intend to offer it in the near future.
