APC Document 11: Change course description for ENVR 330

Effective Date: Fall 2010

1. Delete: On page 137, the description for ENVR 330, Seminar on Environmental Issues:

In-depth coverage of a selected environmental problem based on oral and written student reports. May be repeated once. Prerequisites: ENVR 130; senior standing in an approved concentration. Fall and Spring.

Add: On page 137, in place of deleted entry:

In-depth coverage of a selected environmental problem based on oral and written

student reports. May be repeated once. Prerequisites: ENVR 130; junior standing in an approved Environmental Studies concentration. Fall and Spring.

Impact:

Minimal. Course will be available earlier in course sequence, avoiding end-of-degree registration crunch.

Rationale:

Environmental Studies faculty believe students will benefit from presentation and writing instruction and practice earlier in their educational sequence, rather than waiting for the end of their degree sequence.
