Add: On page 198, in place of deleted entry:
398 International Management (3)
Studies the drivers and effects of globalization on
the human experience, particularly as it relates to the management environment.
Students will identify, explain and analyze concepts and strategies involved in
managing in a global environment. No credit given to students who have credit
for MGMT 308. Prerequisite: junior standing. Fall and Spring
Impact:
There will be no impact on the resources and staffing
of the Department of Management and Accountancy. The course vision, content and
pedagogy necessary for inclusion of this course in Cluster 1: Global and
Environmental Issues and for designation as a Diversity-Intensive course will
be retained without change.
Rationale:
With increased focus on global issues in management
decisions in all organizations, it is essential that students have increased
exposure to concepts and strategies in international management. The scope and
importance of both international marketing and international management make
combining the two in a single course no longer appropriate for our students who
must increasingly interact within an international environment.
