Impact Statement:
These changes will have no impact. The practice of auditioning students is already in place.

Rationale:
We want to elaborate on the already existing prerequisite of audition for the various levels of Applied Music. Although we audition/jury each student at the end of each semester (as already indicated in the catalog), we want to explicitly state the importance of the jury at the end of the semester in which they are enrolled in MUSC 292. There are no substantive changes to the currently listed requirements; the junior qualifying audition is specifically articulated in music school catalogs across the nation for this course of study. Given the need to articulate requirements at the specific levels of Applied Music, we took this opportunity to separate the levels and enter them into their correct numerical place in the catalog. Since MUSC 493 and 494 are already given an individual entry, it made sense to do this with all levels.
