APC Document 35:   Changes in Numbering for SPAN 470 and SPAN 480

Delete: On page 196, the following numbers:
470 Spanish-American Literatures through 19^th-Century Romanticism
480 Spanish-American Literatures from Modernism through the 20^th Century

Add: the following numbers:
480 Spanish-American Literatures through 19^th-Century Romanticism
481 Spanish-American Literatures from Modernism through the 20^th Century

Impact:
These changes will make the catalog copy match information in the Schedule of Classes and on students' transcripts.

Rationale:
Originally these course number changes were made by APC in 1998 (see the attached memo), but the Senate document does not contain the correct numbers. Thus the catalog copy has never been changed, although the Schedule of Classes and students' transcripts for the past two years reflect the new numbering system. These changes would bring the catalog in line with the schedule and transcripts.
