Statement of Faculty Senate Action:


               FWDC 1:  Aesthetics Advisory Committee

Effective Date:     Fall 1997

Faculty Handbook Reference: Page 147, section 10.5.12

Add:      10.5.12   Aesthetics Advisory Committee.

Membership:
          Four members, two faculty nominated by the Faculty
          Welfare and Development Committee and approved by the
          Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and two members
          appointed by the Chancellor. Members will serve two
          year staggered terms.

Purpose:  To advise the chancellor on matters related to campus
          aesthetics.

Recommendations to  --Chancellor

Rationale: The chancellor has requested such a committee to aid
and advise her in making decisions on issues relating to
aesthetics on campus.
