          APC Document 38: Catalog Changes in Sociology


Effective Date: Fall 1996

Add: In Catalog 1995-96, on page 204, at the end of III. Other
departmental requirements, the following:

Oral competency is demonstrated by successful completion of the
oral presentation requirements in SOC 451.

Impact: No impact since these changes make explicit current
practice in SOC 451.

Rationale: These changes were necessitated by the Universityþs
new oral competency requirement.
