Delete: MGMT 486 Production Processes and Design (3) from the listing of required courses for the major. Impact Statement: No adverse impact on UNCA resources Rationale: General Administration has directed that all programs of study over 128 hours be reduced to that level or below. Administrative Changes: This change will result in other catalog changes as follows: a. On page 129 change the third line from the bottom to read, "This program requires a total of 127 semester hours, as specified below". b. On page 129 change the last line on the page to read, "394,460,487, 492". 2. Change: Page 130, paragraph III, Management/Cognate electives change to read, "Management/Cognate electives-6 hours as follows: one course chosen from each of the following two groups - Group I (Statistics) STAT 321, 325, 326 or 327; Group II (General) any 300 level course or above as approved by the faculty advisor. Impact Statement: Will have no adverse impact on applicable departments. The Department of Mathematics will acquire additional students for their upper level statistics classes. Rationale: To be adequately prepared for MGMT 492, Senior Design Project (3), I&EM majors needed additional exposure to statistics. The Group II elective will allow a wider choice for students with varied interest. 3. Change: Page 134, MGMT 384, Human Performance and Work Design (3) to read, "MGMT 384, Industrial Ergonomics and Work Design (3)". Impact Statement: None Rationale: Industrial Ergonomics is the proper nomenclature for this field of study.
