Statement of Faculty Senate Action:   

          Executive Committee Document #1:  Resolution


WHEREAS:  It is educationally imperative that our students
experience and appreciate that they live in a world in which
peoples of many cultures, beliefs and backgrounds must comprehend
and value each other; and,

WHEREAS:  It is morally imperative for UNCA to provide for such
an opportunity; and,

WHEREAS:  The University of North Carolina at Asheville is North
Carolina's Public Liberal Arts University;

THEREFORE:

The Faculty of the University of North Carolina at Asheville
formally resolve to support the University in its efforts to
increase the diversity of the entire campus community.
