(1991-1992 catalog, page 168.) d) Add PSYC 340: Motivation and Emotion. (Replaces PSYC 240.) The course description is the same as in the catalog for PSYC 240. Add pre-requisite: PSYC 303. e) Impact Statement: 1) This change will not affect other departments. 2) No new staff members are needed. Dr. Gary B. Nallan will teach the newly numbered course PSYC 340: Motivation and Emotion every third semester, starting Fall, 1992. f) Rationale: The content of the course is appropriate for a 300-level course number. The psychology major includes a requirement of 12 credit hours chosen from 300- and 400-level courses. The course Motivation and Emotion will therefore attract greater enrollment with the course number PSYC 340.
