           I.  Call to Order
               The 1990-91 Faculty Senate met on Thursday, April 24, 1990,
        in the Whitman Room of Ramsey Library.  Dr. Prokop called the
        meeting to order at 4:20 pm and welcomed the new and returning
        senators.  

          II.  Executive Committee Elections
               Elections for the 1990-91 Executive Committee positions were
        held with the following results:  Dr. Friedenberg was elected Chair
        of the 1990-91 Faculty Senate.  At this time Dr. Prokop turned the
        meeting over to Dr. Friedenberg.  

               The elections continued as follows:  
        first Vice Chair and Academic Policy Committee Chair - Dr. Coyne;

        second Vice Chair and Institutional Development Committee Chair -

        Dr. Hantz; Secretary and Chair of the Faculty Welfare and

        Development Committee - Dr. Greenawalt.  


         III.  Committee Elections
               Committee Elections were held with the following results:

        Distinguished Scholars & Honorary Degree Committee
        Jim Perry       - 2 year term
        Michael Gillum  - 2 year term

        Minority Affairs Commission
        Dee James - 2 year term

        Research Council
        Robert Dunning - Arts representative           - 2 year term
        Bill Haas      - Social Science representative - 2 year term

        University Teaching Council
        Milton Ready   - Humanities representative            - 2 year term
        Keith Bramlett - Social Science representative        - 2 year term
        Jim McGlinn    - Professional Programs representative - 2 year term

        Graduate Council
        Ted Seitz    - Social Science representative  - 1 year term
        Peggy Parris - Humanities representative      - 2 year term
        Alan Comer   - Natural Science representative - 2 year term
        Larry Dorr   - Humanities representative      - 1 year term

        Foundation Board
        Arnold Wengrow - term to be set by the Foundation
        Joe Sulock     - term to be set by the Foundation

        Preferences for committee assignments were collected from
        the senators and the Executive Committee met immediately following
        the meeting.  

          IV.  Adjournment
               Dr. Friedenberg adjourned the meeting at 5:50 pm.
