Senate Doc #1589S Approved 3/2/89 APC Document #7 Admission to Major Requirements in Accounting Effective date: Fall 1989 1: On page 56 add the following paragraph after the sentence ending with "... Certificate in Management Accounting (CMA). Declaration of Major A student must apply for entrance to the major of Accounting by submitting an application form to the Management Department chair. The following criteria must be met for acceptance into the major: I. The student must have completed the following courses with a grade of "C" or better in each course: ACCT 215, ECON 201*, MGMT 200 and STAT 185*. II. The student's overall GPA must be a 2.00 or higher. *Students anticipating a major in Accounting may choose ECON 201 as one of their social science General Education requirements and, if qualified, choose STAT 185 as their mathematics General Education requirement. 2: On page 56, change the following sentence "II. Required courses outside the major," change reference to CSCI 126 or 141 to CSCI 126 or ACCT 330. 3: On page 56 delete the following sentence "*STAT 185 and ECON 201 can be used to fulfill the mathematics and one social science General Education requirement."
