I. Required Courses in the Department - 33 hours including POLS 220, 327, 328, 490 and two courses from 330, 332, 334 and 384. II. Required Courses Outside the Department - 15 hours including ECON 201, HISTORY 101 and 102, and PHILOSOPHY 304 and 305. III. Senior Demonstration of Competency - Satisfactory completion of 490. All reference to Options A and B are eliminated in the above program description. _________ Rationale: The Department of Political Science seeks to eliminate catalog proliferation in pre-law programs and hopes by this proposal it will remove the need for other departments to submit their version of concentrations in law as the best way to prepare our students for law school. We are seeking to simplify our program and allow students to take more electives.
