PE 123 - Aerobics (as an option to the Fitness Development concept) 1 hour RATIONALE: Our present curriculum did not offer a specific course that was based on improvement and development of the student's cardiovascular system. This course will be designed with cardiovascular health in mind. B. PE 124 - Weight Training (as an option to the Fitness Development Concept) 1 hour RATIONALE: While other of our courses paid attention to a strength objective, there was not an importance placed on this concept. With the basic required course (The Physical Self) possibly recommending a number of our students to take such a course, the department requests addition of this course. COURSE NUMBER AND TITLE CHANGE. PE 146 - Swimming (As an option to the skill development elective) 1 hour RATIONALE: This course is the same course as PE 245. With the change of PE 145 title to Swimming for Non-Swimmers, the depart- ment feels that a course in "Swimming" would be a basic course.
