The Faculty Welfare and Development Committee recommends to the 
Faculty Senate the following proposal:

     A faculty parking permit allows the faculty member to park in
     faculty or student designated parking areas.

Rationale

Professional commitments to the community activities frequently 
require faculty members to be off-campus for parts of the day.  It
has become increasingly difficult to find parking promptly upon 
returning from such activities due to lack of faculty parking spaces 
and due to the prevalence of students parking in faculty spaces.
