                    Education Minor Without Certification       







        PROPOSAL:  



        RE:  (2):  Education minor without certification would require:

        (1) two courses at the introductory level totaling 7 s.h. (Ed. 200

        courses and 332);  (2) a choice of three courses above the

        introductory levels totaling nine to ten hours;  and (3) two

        courses outside the department totaling seven semester hours.  (Psy

        100 and 218) 



        RATIONALE:  



        UNCA students may now take education courses, except student

        teaching and Ed. 492 Senior Seminar for graduation credit.  An

        education minor without certification would provide another

        marketable credential for students in certain majors.
