1982-1983 SENATE DOCUMENT #21 APC DOCUMENT #21 CATALOG REVISIONS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF DRAMA The Department of Drama requests your consideration of the following proposed changes in the major in drama and a new proposal for a minor in drama. The revisions in the major in drama are prompted by personnel changes in the department, which make it necessary to remove and/or adjust courses previously offered and which also allow us to add a limited number of new courses. In addition, the revision in the major we presented last year, which now appears in the Catalog, was invalidated by the subsequent change in policy regarding the 36 semester hour limit on major programs. We remind the APC and the person(s) responsible for keeping the University's listing of authorized programs up-to-date with General Administration that the APC and the Senate last year approved our request that the joint major in Literature-Drama be abolished. This program continues to be listed on p. 42 and p. 118 of the Catalog; it was our request that this joint major, which carries a separate HEGIS code listing, be removed both from the Catalog and from the list of approved programs registered with General Administration. Catalog: p. 83; change the first sentence of the description of the major to read: Students majoring in drama major may elect one of three programs: drama, acting and directing, and design and production.
