                DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY - CHANGE IN COURSE DESCRIPTION







           The department has agreed that the description for Sociology

           210, Modern Social Problems, be changed to the following:



                A sociological examination of the causes, incidence,

                and potential solutions to the problems of deviance;

                rapid and disorganizing changes in social institutions

                such as the family, education, politics, and inequality.



           The changes allow the description to better reflect what is

           actually taught in the course.
