                       MINORS IN FRENCH, GERMAN, AND SPANISH





        Add under the description of the French major (p. 90 of the 1981-82

        catalog):  



             The minor in French permits students to acquire a good general

             background in French language, literature, and cultue and

             serves as a valuable complementary field of study in other

             areas (e.g., Literature, Music, Art, History, Philosophy,

             Political Science, Management).  



             Required courses in the minor:  18 hours in courses numbered

             300 or above, including 310, 320, and 330 (or 331).

             Recommended:  335.  



        Add under the description of the German major (p. 93 of the 1981-82

        catalog):  



             The minor in German permits the student to acquire a good

             general background in German language, literature, and culture

             and serves as a valuable complementary field of study in other

             areas (e.g., Chemistry, Literature, Music, History,

             Philosophy, Management).  



             Required courses in the minor:  18 hours in courses numbered

             300 or above, including 310, 320, and two 400 level courses.

             Recommended:  335.  



        Add under the description of the Spanish major (p. 145 of the

        1981-82 catalog):  



             The minor in Spanish permits students to acquire a good

             general background in Spanish language, literature, and

             culture and serves as a valuable complementary field of study

             in other areas (e.g., Literature, the various Social Sciences,

             Management).  



             Required courses in the minor:  18 hours in courses numbered

             300 or above, including 310, 320, and two 400 level courses.

             Recommended:  335.
