1981-1982 Senate Document #53 APC Document #46 Economics Minor Add to program description ending on p. 80 of the current catalog: Minor in Economics: Students wishing to comlete an academic minor in economics may do so by completing 24 hours in Economics including Econ. 200 and 201 plus any 18 hours in Economics, six of which must be at the 300 level or higher. Stat. 125 is recommended. Rationale: Many students in related fields may wish to minor in Economics as a complementary field of study, e.g., Management, Political Science, History, and Sociology. These sudents will have individual needs which can best be met through classwork with their major advisor in cooperation with a minor advisor in the Economics Department. This proposal is consistent with the recently approved policy concerning academic minors.
