1981-1982 Senate Document #52 APC Document #45 Psychology Minor The Psychology Department requests approval of the following, to be added to p.132 of the catalog (after special departmental requirements): Minor in Psychology - A minor in psychology shall consist of 21 credit hours, including the following: a) 100, b) two courses from the following: 200, 205, 225, and 230, and c) 303, 304, and six additional credit hours at the 300-400 level. Rationale: Other institutions' catalogs indicate that a 21-hour requirement for the psychology minor is most typical. This curriculum requires as thorough a knowledge of research methods as does the curriculum for the major, but leaves room for selection from among the basic courses at the 200 and upper-division levels. These requirements are consistent with the University's policy on minor concentrations.
