1981-1982 Senate Document #17 APC Document #14 Department of Philosophy - Course Additions/Deletions The Department of Philosophy proposes the following catalog changes for next year. 1. Delete Philosophy 301 (Readings in Ethical Theory) and its description (p. 121 of current catalog). Rationale: This course has not been offered in recent years and we do not foresee any demand for it in the near future. 2. Add "Philosophy 305, Philosophy of Law (3)" and the following description (p. 121 of current catalog): "Differing interpretations of the nature of law and justice, rationales for punishment, concepts of responsibility and causation in the law. Readings from both philosophical and legal sources." Rationale: We have been offering this as a special topics course and foresee a growing demand for it.
