                 Course Changes in the Department of Philosophy   





        The Academic Policies Committee recommends to the Faculty Senate

        approval of the following course additions for the Department of

        Philosophy:  





        On page 147 of the current catalog, add:  



        351 KIERKEGAARD AND NIETZSCHE (3) 



             19th century origins of Existentialism in Kierkegaard and

        Nietzsche.  



        Rationale:  This course has been successfully taught as a special

        topics course for two years.  We would like to add it to our

        regular offerings in the history of philosophy sequence.
