                        SENATE RESOLUTION #3



Be it resolved that the conditions under which non-chairmen be granted
release time be broadened to include the items under the rationale for
chairmen, if and when chairmen delegate departmental responsibilities
to other faculty in their departments, or when non-chairmen become
involved in university-wide responsibilities, or show "evidence of
activity" (as in items four and five under guidelines for chairmen).
