SENATE DOCUMENT #21 APC Document #13 The Academic Policies Committee recommends to the Faculty Senate the adoption of the following catalog changes concerning the Probation Policy: CATALOG REVISION DELETE; Words "Satisfactory Progress and" from the heading in bold-faced type on page 52. Words "a minimum standard of satisfactory progress and" from first sentence in second paragraph on page 52. Third paragraph on page 52 which begins "A student who ..." and ends ". . . suspension for a semester." Word "Additionally" from the first sentence in the fourth paragraph on page 52. Words "he passes half of the hours for which he is registered in summer school and" from second sentence in third paragraph on page 53. RATIONALE: By making the deletions as listed above, we essentially eliminate the possibility of putting students who are in good standing on probation. With these changes, the probation rule would be based strictly on the student's cumulative grade point average. (Passed Faculty Senate February 9, 1979.)
