The Academic Policies Committee recommends to the Faculty Senate
the adoption of the following:


CATALOG REVISION:


Delete:		"Examinations" as section heading, p. 54; In its
		place add:  "Examinations and Evaluations"


Delete:		First paragraph, p. 54 which reads:  "Formal,
		heavily weighted examinations are not given in
		any course.  Otherwise, each instructor arranges
		examinations in each course as appropriate."


Add:		"Each instructor arranges examinations in each
		course as appropriate.  The student will receive
		the results of at least one evaluation by the
		mid-point in each course."  This is effective as
		of the beginning of the Spring Semester, 1978-79.
