                            RESOLUTION #2



	The Faculty Senate expresses its appreciation to Mr.

William Pott, Affirmative Action Officer, for accepting faculty

recommendations regarding the spread of new faculty positions

across academic disciplines in the writing of the Affirmative

Action Plan.  The allocation of new positions is a matter of

direct concern to the faculty, and the Senate wishes to continue

the close working relationship with the Affirmative Action Officer

in future revisions of the Affirmative Action Plan.  The Senate

further concurs with Mr. Pott's recommendation that the next

Affirmative Action Officer be a person with primarily academic

duties.
