Statement of Faculty Senate Action:

APC Document 39: Change Prerequisite for ACCT 330

Effective Date: Fall 2007

1. Delete: On pg 175, in the course description for ACCT 330:

Prerequisite: ACCT 301.

Add: On pg 175, in place of deleted entry:

Pre- or corequisite: ACCT 301.

Impact:

No impact on resources. This change will provide more flexibility for students to schedule the course.

Rationale:

The basic concepts covered in ACCT 330 are needed by accounting students at the earliest point in their academic career. Having ACCT 301 as a corequisite provides sufficient coverage for the concepts in ACCT 330, and will allow students to proceed through the major in a more timely manner.
