              400     B.A. Seminar (3)

B.A. Seminar is the capstone studio course for B.A. candidates. The Senior Exhibitions work is completed with weekly critiques from faculty and peers. Journal, research paper, and oral defense of work required. Prerequisite: Completion of all other B.A. required courses. Fall and Spring.

Impact:

Specifying the research paper and oral defense in the course description demonstrates how ART 400, required for B.A. students, parallels ART 490, the comparable course for B.F.A. students.  While course requirements are the same in ART 400 and 490, B.F.A. students are held to a higher standard commensurate with the more rigorous curriculum for that degree.

Rationale:

This change in description more accurately reflects the course demands and expectations on students in ART 400.
