I. Call to Order
Dr. Caulfield called the meeting to order at 5:21 pm and welcomed new senators to the first meeting of the 2001-2002 Faculty Senate. Keith Bramlett, Cynthia Ho, Dwight Mullen, Steve Patch, and Alice Weldon will serve the three-year term 2001-2004. Alternates Mary Lynn Manns, Michael Stuart, and Scott Walters will serve the 2001-2002 term. Alternates are to attend the Senate meetings with "voice without vote."

II. Election of Officers
Executive Committee elections were held with the following results:
Chair of the Senate and Chair of the Executive Committee:
Cathy Mitchell

Dr. Caulfield turned the floor over to Dr. Mitchell and the elections continued:

First Vice Chair and Chair of the Academic Policies Committee:
Jeff Rackham

Second Vice Chair and Chair of the Institutional Development Committee and University Planning Council: Bruce Larson

Secretary and Chair of the Faculty Welfare and Development Committee:
Gordon Wilson

III. Senate Election of members of Standing Committees
The Senate approved the following FWDC nominations to Standing Committees:

IV. Committee Assignment Preferences
Dr. Mitchell asked senators to submit their committee preferences. The Executive Committee convened after the meeting to set committee assignments.

V. Adjourn
Dr. Mitchell adjourned the meeting at 5:35 pm.
