Statement of Faculty Senate Action:

APC Document 15:   Additions, Deletions and Changes of Engineering Course
Offerings and Descriptions (ENGR 100, 101 and 313)

Effective Date: Fall 2002

It is suggested that the following course descriptions and text be added, deleted or changed as indicated to the Engineering (ENGR) course listing (page 203-205, 2000-2001 catalog).

Delete: 100 Introduction to Engineering (1)
An introduction to the joint university program, the NCSU College of Engineering, and the engineering profession. (Grading: S/U). Fall.

Add: 101 Introduction to Engineering and Problem Solving (1)
An introduction to engineering as a discipline and profession. Emphasis on engineering design, interdisciplinary teamwork, and problem solving from a general engineering perspective. Overview of academic policies affecting undergraduate engineering students. Exposure to the NCSU College of Engineering and the joint UNCA-NCSU programs and services. Fall.
