Impact:

These changes update some course descriptions and revise and/or remove prerequisites for our 300-level courses to facilitate movement of majors through the curriculum and to standardize prerequisites by course level.

Rationale:

The change in course offering patterns to being offered every other year is designed to allow maximum flexibility in faculty class scheduling each year.  The department will provide a regular core of all 300-level courses to meet student demand. The change to course descriptions better describes the current content of the courses.
