APC Document 23: Delete EDUC 318 and EDUC 345

Effective Date: Fall 2011

1. Delete: On page 124, the entire entry for EDUC 318:

318 Teaching Language and Literature: Children’s Literature Lab, K–6 (1)

Study of a wide range of excellent children’s literature in the various genres. Designed to develop candidates’ skills of literary analysis and appreciation of the art of illustration in children’s literature. Prerequisites: EDUC 210, 211. Fall and Spring.

2. Delete: On page 125, the entry for EDUC 345:

345 Geography Lab, K–6 (1)

Basic geographic skills and study of the methods of the geographer as applied in K–6 teaching. Prerequisites: EDUC 210, 211. Fall and Spring

Impact:

No impact. These courses haven’t been taught in several years.

Rationale:

Brings catalog content into alignment with the newly revised K-6 program.
