Statement
of Faculty Senate Action:
APC Document 27: Change
major requirements for History;
Change prerequisite for HIST 452
Effective Date: Fall 2009
1. Delete: On page 160, under Major in
History,
I.
Required
courses in the major—36 hours: HIST 101, 102, 151, 152, 390, 452;
II.
Other
departmental requirements—At least one of the courses chosen to complete major
requirement must be designated as Historiography Intensive. Courses so designated will meet published
departmental guidelines and will be indicated on the History department
website.
III.
The
senior demonstration of competency and computer competency are satisfied by
completion of HIST 452 with a grade of C or better. Oral competency is satisfied
in HIST 390 by delivery of formal presentations judged satisfactory by the
department.
Add: On page 161, in place of deleted entry:
I.
