Add:           On page 104, in place of deleted entry:

Impact Statement:

Students will now have the choice of taking Fast Track Latin in the Fall Semester (completing CLAS 101 and 102 in the same semester) or taking CLAS 101 in the Spring and 102 in the Fall. Students from both 102 classes can join CLAS 212 in the spring. Thus we will be teaching neither fast track Latin in the Spring semester, nor Intermediate Latin in the Fall semester, while still maintaining a full set of options for students in beginner Latin classes.

Rationale:

We have currently been offering fast track and slow track Latin courses along with CLAS 212, every semester. This has sometimes resulted in some classes with small enrollments. Cutting the number of courses offered should see an increase in class sizes in Latin at the lower levels, and enable the department to increase its class sizes with a re-direction of resources to higher-enrolling courses. Impact on resource allocation should be positive.
